Cambridgeshire: Cambridge rehoming centre

Location Details

We have changed our presence in Cambridgeshire by closing our Cambridge rehoming centre and replacing it with a rehoming, advice and behaviour unit (RABU) which will be open in the near future.

You can still get in touch with our team by calling 0300 777 1470 or emailing us while these changes take place.

Looking for a pet?

Our Rehoming Team is dedicated to finding the right pet for you. If you are interested in a pet on our website please complete a rehoming form first. You can find this on the pet’s profile page. So we can understand the type of pet you are looking for please call us first if you would like to arrange a visit.

You can get started by reading about our rehoming process and viewing our pets looking for new homes.

Our Home Direct Scheme

Cambridge Rehoming Centre offers a Home Direct scheme for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets whose owners can sadly no longer keep them but don’t need to find them a new home straight away. Pets stay in their existing home until a new owner is found for them. All pets go through our careful assessment and matching process, and only animals who fit our criteria can be accepted on to the scheme.

We operate a national rehoming service and help pets all over the country, so if you need urgent help and are not local to a centre you can still get in touch.

Short-term volunteer foster caring

Become a volunteer short term foster carer for pets at Blue Cross and help improve the welfare of the animals in our care. As a volunteer foster carer you will look after needy animals in your own home while they are recuperating from operations or illness, or young kittens or puppies until they are able to find a permanent new home.
